Dr. Marc Schlette

Chief Human Resources Officer and Labor Director

Member of the Executive Board of the Materials Services segment, CHRO and Labor Director, member of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Materials Services GmbH

Responsible for the operating unit "MillServices & Systems" as well as the central functions "HR Management Europe & ROW", "HR Business Services", "Occupational Safety & Health", "People Experience" and "Legal".

Apprenticeship as a banker and studies of political science (degree in social sciences, political science, political philosophy) with subsequent doctorate at the University of Duisburg-Essen.

After his studies and doctorate, Dr. Marc Schlette began his career at IG Metall in 2006, first as secretary to the IG Metall executive committee, later as district secretary of the IG Metall NRW district management.

Dr. Marc Schlette joined the thyssenkrupp Group in 2013: Here he first headed the Labor Relations department at thyssenkrupp AG, from mid-2015 he also assumed responsibility for HR Strategy and Projects. In October 2017 Dr. Schlette moved to thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG, where he headed the corporate function Human Resources Management. Before joining thyssenkrupp he worked in the human resources department of Volkswagen AG.

Dr. Marc Schlette has been a member of the Executive Board of the Materials Services segment (CHRO), Labor Director and member of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Materials Services GmbH since May 1, 2020.
